Kraken Academy Inc. was formed as a Florida not-for-profit corporation and the broader whole-child model was developed. Brand, community conversations, partnership development and early program design all belong to this year.
2026–2027
The unglamorous year. Governance, curriculum, partnerships, fundraising, facilities and program infrastructure are built before anything is offered to a family.
May 2027
The first time families will meet Kraken Academy as a program rather than a plan. Evaluations decide team placement for the recreational and competitive pathways.
June–July 2027
Camps and seasonal clinics, open more widely than team play — the entry point for children who have never played before as much as for those who have.
August 2027 – May 2028
A complete program year: training, league play, coach development and leadership-through-sport lessons running from August through the following May.
Leadership and mental-wellness education and nutrition and culinary education are both in active development. They will be announced once curriculum, instructors, facilities, safeguarding requirements and schedules are approved — the same bar soccer had to clear.
Longer-term possibilities — innovation and STEM, creative development, a parent and family academy, community impact programming — are described honestly as concepts on the future programs page, because that is what they are today.
